The kata Jiin is rarely practiced in Shotokan karate, mainly because it is not considered part of the kata curriculum of the Japan Karate Association. However, there is much curiosity among Shotokan practitioners about this kata, and therefore we present it here for those wishing to learn it.
The kata is demonstrated by Sensei Joel Ertl and Sensei Anita Bendickson in this group of downloadable videos. The downloads are in MP4 video format, and will play on most computers and mobile devices. You will be emailed a link so that you can download the following files that can be viewed separately. You can also access your files from your account page.
